How do I migrate my services from another provider to Sidr Tax to take over my sales tax filings/payments?

If you are currently using another tax service (TaxJar, Avalara, TaxCloud, etc.) and would like to switch to Sidr Tax, there are several actions to take to begin the process.

Work with your current provider to end services

The time it takes to connect to states can vary. The best thing to do is to reach out to us and let us know which states you'd like to add to your Autofile, and we can advise on the average time it takes. With most states, we can request right away, but some have steps you need to follow to grant us access, while others mail you a confirmation code. Others require you to grant access before we can do anything.

You may want to keep your previous service to file while you are trying to grant us access based on several factors:

• The state: Different states have different timetables, and we can advise on those.
• The time of the month: If it's in the first half of the month and you are not confident you can grant us access by the 15th, for example, it might be best to use your old service to file, and we can note to skip the filing for that month if we get connected before the 15th.
