How to register for a sales tax permit in Missouri

We only support Missouri Autofile for in-state businesses. So please make sure that you still want to register.
Sidr Tax creates the sales tax account for you. However, this state requires that you have your own login and we access your account as a third-party.

After Sidr Tax applies for a sales tax permit on your behalf, you will receive your Missouri sales tax ID, and filing frequency in the mail.
Once you receive your sales tax ID, access code, and filing frequency in the mail, you can create a login at Missouri MyTax to access your sales tax account.

Create a Missouri MyTax Login

Click Create an Account, and then Administrator for My Individual and Business accounts on the right hand side.

Provide your login information.

You should see the registration confirmation page. The means that your login is setup, however you don't have access to your business yet. Please continue.

You will receive an email from Missouri MyTax that looks like the following screenshot. You can find the temporary username and password in there.

Login using the temporary username and password that you received.

Click on Manage Accounts to claim access to your business.

Choose the first option to validate your business entity.

Validate your business entity information. The SSN should be the same as the SSN you provided us.

You should now have online access to your business!
