How to register for a sales tax permit in Virginia
Sidr Tax creates the sales tax account for you. However, this state requires that you have your own login and we access your account as a third-party.
Access your sales tax account with your Virginia Tax Online Service login
After Sidr Tax finishes your registration, we will provide you with your sales tax ID. You can access that information by going to the registration page and clicking on the details button.
If you see the username and password, you can login to the Virginia Tax Online Service.
- The account number is your FEIN. Your sales tax ID has this format: XX-XXXXXXXXXF-001. Your account number is the 9-digit number after the first dash (-), before the letter F.
(Optional) Create a Virginia Tax Online Service account
If you don't see the username and password, you can create an account at Virginia Tax Online Service.
