# How to setup Autofile for Iowa

### Grant access to [GovConnectIowa](https://govconnect.iowa.gov/tap)

After Sidr Tax requests access to your account, a letter with an access approval code will be mailed to the taxpayer's primary or headquarters mailing address. Please message us your code once you receive it.

### Provide IRD ID

The IDR ID is a 10-digit identification number that the Iowa Department of Revenue assigned to taxpayers, service providers, and 3rd party transmitters after November 15, 2021. This number can be viewed on GovConnectIowa or on correspondence sent by the Department.
