# How to register for a sales tax permit in Washington

| If your state is registered through Streamlined Sales Tax, read [this guide](/en-us/article/streamlined-sales-tax-9bebpb/).
| Sidr Tax creates the sales tax account for you. However, this state requires that you have your own login and we access your account as a third-party.

### Create your [Washington My DOR](https://secure.dor.wa.gov/home/) Login

After Sidr Tax finishes the registration for you, you will receive the sales tax ID in the mail. You will then need to create a login at [Washington My DOR](https://secure.dor.wa.gov/home/) to access your sales tax account.

Once you have an account with Washington My DOR, you will be able to request access to two different accounts: a business license account and an excise tax account.
