# How to register for a sales tax permit in Michigan

### Access Your Sales Tax Account at [Michigan Treasury Online](https://mto.treasury.michigan.gov/eai/mtologin/authenticate?URL=/)

After Sidr Tax applies for a sales tax permit on your behalf, you will receive your Michigan sales tax ID and filing frequency in the mail.

Once you receive your sales tax ID and filing frequency in the mail, you can create a login at [Michigan Treasury Online](https://mto.treasury.michigan.gov/eai/mtologin/authenticate?URL=/) to access your sales tax account.
