How Billing and Invoicing Works

How Billing and Invoicing Works

On the left side of your Sidr Tax account, you will select “Settings”. Click this section.

Settings

Scroll down to the very bottom of the Settings page to locate the “Charges” section.

In the “Charges” section, you’ll find a list of all invoices and charges. These are organized into the following columns:

Charges

  • Month: Displays the billing period associated with each charge.
  • Charge Type: Indicates the service type, such as Autofile or Registration.
  • Description: Outlines the state and filing period for greater transparency.
  • Charge Time: Specifies when the charge took place.
  • Charge Amount: Lists the exact amount billed.

Export

You can find an Export button in the top-right corner of the Charge section to export all charges to an Excel spreadsheet for streamlined reporting.

Billing Frequency

Sidr Tax will issue and process monthly billing within the first five days of each month.

How Billing and Invoicing Works applies to both Shopify billing and Stripe billing. Please see Sidr Tax Pricing and Subscription Overview to compare the pricing structures.

Billing Plans

Billing with Stripe

To improve transparency and simplify monthly fee calculations, Sidr Tax has introduced updated subscription plans. All new users signing up on or after March 31, 2026 will automatically be enrolled in the new plan structure. Existing users may remain on their current plan if they choose, although remaining on the old pricing plans may not receive the same feature set as our new price plans as we release new features (such as the Virtual Mailbox).

Plans (Stripe-based)

Billing with Shopify

Legacy users will retain the option to continue using the existing Shopify subscription plan. Please note that remaining on the previous plan will incur a 15% Shopify platform fee, which is passed through entirely to Shopify. This fee will be waived moving forward from the moment a Stripe payment method is added. Migrating to the new Stripe plans is recommended as this offers more favorable terms and greater long-term advantages. Disclaimer: Legacy plans may not receive the same feature set as our new price plans as we release new features.
